In 2004, CD-adapco (now Siemens) shifted their attention to reinveinting their CFD tools and created a new tool from a "blank slate":
in 2004, STAR-CCM+ it appeared without initial clamour.
In 2005, became a leading early adopter of STAR-CCM+.
I was called "too visionary" and "unpractical".
In 2006 thanks to my efforts, STAR-CCM+ v.1 displaced a full-fledged solution and an OEM adopted it as aerodynamics simulation software.
Nowadays, it is a recognized industry standard.
